Puppy/Beginner’s obedience training is incredibly important because it lays the foundation for a well-behaved, confident, and happy dog. You won’t find anyone more passionate than we are about getting you and your puppy off to the best possible start. 

Early training helps puppies to learn basic commands, build good habits, and understand boundaries, which reduces the chances of problem behaviours like biting, barking, or jumping up. It also strengthens the bond between the puppy and their owner, creating trust and clear communication from the start. We teach outside with natural everyday distractions and will guide, educate and support you through this pivotal life stage. We only use positive, reward based force free methods which have been scientifically proven to be effective. 

We teach “all things puppy” and will equip you with the knowledge and tools to teach your puppy to recall, sit, stay, lie down, stop, walk nicely on the lead and to focus on you. Your puppy will also learn to socialise. 

Our programme includes home based puppy consultations to support you prior to vaccinations and classes, Puppy Obedience Courses, Puppy Socialisation Sessions and Puppy Adventure Walks.

We don’t restrict on the basis of age as this training is also pivotal to rescue dogs or older pups who haven’t had the benefit of structured learning. 

Our puppy training is also available on a 1-2-1 basis if group classes aren’t for you or if you need a tailored approach to timings. 

Ongoing obedience training beyond the puppy stage is key to maintaining a well-mannered, responsive, and happy dog. As dogs grow, their needs and behaviours can change, so continued training helps reinforce good habits and adapt to new situations. It keeps their minds active, strengthens your communication, and builds a deeper bond over time. Plus, regular training is a great way to prevent problem behaviours from creeping in and gives your dog fun challenges to stay engaged. Training isn’t just for puppies—it’s a lifelong way to grow together and we are pleased to offer age appropriate training for every life stage.
