About Me – Debbie Chandler

I’m Debbie, founder of Debs Canine Training Club, and I have over 20 years experience in the industry. I’m fully accredited through the IMDT, OCN, and the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter, and I’m also proud to train and assess for Therapy Dogs UK.

My training style is modern, ethical, and force-free. It’s grounded in science but delivered in a fun, down-to-earth way. I offer 1-to-1 support and a range of group training courses and workshops including puppy foundations, obedience, agility, scentwork, Hoopers, and fun pet gundog training.

My love of dogs started early and my mum tells me I crawled toward every dog I saw! Not much has changed, except that now I approach them on two legs. That early fascination grew into a passion for helping people and their dogs build strong, positive relationships. I believe a happy, well-behaved dog adds incredible joy to life, and I’m here to help make those years together as enriching and enjoyable as possible.

Training with me is all about the balance of effective, modern techniques delivered in a friendly, practical way. You won’t need a degree in neuroscience to understand my lessons—but you will see results. I keep training fun and engaging for both dogs and their humans, without compromising on quality or depth. The best part of my job? Seeing the moment true communication clicks between a dog and their owner.

Whether you’re tackling specific challenges or just want to build an even stronger bond with your dog, I’m here to help. I work across Caversham, Henley, Sonning Common, and surrounding areas, as well as continuing to support clients in Windsor, Bracknell, and beyond.

And when I’m not working with amazing dogs and their people, I’m out adventuring with Woody, my cheeky rescue Vizsla and constant sidekick.
